In my not-so-humble opinion, no one can ever have too many homemade salad dressings, not only are homemade dressings super easy to make, but they taste far better than anything you’ll ever find in the grocery store, plus they are way better for you! And this tangy Greek salad dressing should definitely by at at the top of everyone’s list of dressings to keep stocked!

This simple dressing recipe not only tastes amazing, but it’s quick and easy to make, needs just a few key ingredients, and is perfect for just about anything!

I’m sure you’ll fall in love with this recipe just like I did, not only because this Greek salad dressing tastes super yummy and is super easy to make, but also because of how versatile it is.

Not only is this Greek dressing recipe, perfect for any easy Greek salad recipe. But it can also be used to make Greek pasta salad, greek potato salad, and Greek quinoa salad. It also makes a terrific marinade, perfect for making Greek chicken or chicken salad!

It can also be drizzled over feta cheese or fresh veggies. And it makes a lovely addition to any charcuterie board, as it is perfect for dipping bread or kalamata olives in! Plus it’s perfect for most Greek or Mediterranean recipes!

This simple Greek salad dressing is my spin on traditional Greek salad dressing, and it is sure to be a hit! It’s packed full of fresh flavor, and just the right amount of tang!

How to make classic Greek salad dressing

Ingredients

  • extra-virgin olive oil
  • red wine vinegar 
  • fresh lemon juice
  • minced fresh garlic 
  • dried oregano
  • dried basil
  • fresh ground black pepper 
  • sea salt
  • onion powder
  • Dijon mustard OR whole grain mustard

Directions

In a small bowl, combine all of the ingredients listed above and mix well.

Homemade Greek dressing can either be used imminently or transferred to a mason jar or airtight container and stored in the fridge until ready to use.

Be sure to give your dressing a good shake before pouring and serving!

Notes

Greek dressing can be kept in the fridge for up to 7 days.

If you are in a pinch you can sub garlic powder for the minced garlic cloves. You can also use fresh herbs in place of the dried ones. And white wine vinegar can also be used in place of red wine vinegar if needed, it will alter the taste slightly but your dressing will still be super yummy!

You can store your homemade dressing in a variety of different ways. It can stored in glass or plastic containers or bottles. Mason Jars. or even in recycled jars or bottles from store-bought dressings!

Greek Salad dressing tastes great on just about any salad, but it especially pairs well with red onion, feta cheese, balsamic vinegar, black olives, kalamata olives, and tomatoes. As well as with ham, grilled chicken, and steak!
