Cinnabon Latte Recipe (homemade cinnamon roll latte)
This easy and delicious homemade Cinnabon latte recipe calls for simple ingredients and tastes way better than anything you’ll find in a coffee shop! It features ground cinnamon, white chocolate, and any type of milk you like. This easy homemade latte is the perfect way to treat yourself, plus, you don’t need an espresso machine to make it.

I love all things cinnamon or cinnamon roll–related, from lattes to cheesecakes, bars, and my mum’s delicious, fluffy, homemade cinnamon rolls.
I don’t know what it is about cinnamon rolls or cinnamon-flavored things, but I just can’t seem to say no to them. And this homemade Cinnabon (or cinnamon roll) latte recipe is no exception.
What began as a love affair with my favorite flavored coffee at the small shop I briefly worked at has since grown into this rich, creamy, and flavorful homemade latte recipe.

I didn’t have much of an idea going into this recipe other than the cinnamon-flavored coffee I’d drink at work with a questionable amount of white chocolate syrup and half-and-half.
But even then, I knew this homemade latte was going to be a hit. Not just with me, but with anyone who loves lattes, cinnamon rolls, and cozy drinks.
Not only is this homemade version incredibly easy to make, but you also don’t need an espresso machine to make it; it can easily be made with any milk of your choice. And not only does it taste better than the coffee shop version, but it’s also a whole lot cheaper!

Needless to say, this homemade cinnamon latte is a must-try, especially during the winter season (though you can just as easily make an iced version too!). It’s sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it, and it’s the perfect way to treat yourself.
Plus, it has given me an excuse to name a recipe after one of my favorite cinnamon rolls ever.

How To Make a Cinnabon Latte
Ingredients
- Whole milk, or milk of your choice. 2% milk, skim milk, soy milk, oat milk, and other non-dairy options all work well
- Heavy cream, you can also use half-and-half or more milk
- Vanilla extract
- Ground cinnamon
- White chocolate chips or white baking chocolate, roughly chopped. Be sure to use a good-quality chocolate!
- Instant coffee + hot water OR 2 shots of fresh espresso OR 1/4 cup hot, strong-brewed coffee
- Whipped cream and cinnamon for topping. optional

Directions
Combine the milk, heavy cream, and vanilla extract in a small saucepan over medium heat. Heat, whisking often, until the mixture is hot and small bubbles appear around the edges of the pan.
While the milk is heating, combine the instant coffee and hot water in a small bowl. (If you’re using espresso or strong coffee instead, simply replace instant coffee and hot water with one of those.) Add the ground cinnamon and whisk until the cinnamon is completely combined; you don’t want any lumps in your latte!
Once the milk is hot, remove the pan from the heat and add the white chocolate, whisking until completely melted.
Add the prepared cinnamon coffee and whisk to combine. Pour the latte into a large mug of your choice and top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon (if using).
Serve immediately and enjoy!

Recipe Notes
Alternatively, you can use cinnamon-flavored coffee or espresso for this latte instead of adding ground cinnamon.
I almost never froth my milk for homemade lattes, but if you want a more barista-quality drink, feel free to froth your milk mixture before adding the coffee using a hand-held milk frother or immersion blender.
If the white chocolate doesn’t make this latte sweet enough for you, feel free to add a sweetener of your choice. Brown sugar, maple syrup, and coconut sugar all work well!
To make an iced version: Fill a tall glass with ice and add a splash of cream or milk. Prepare your cinnamon coffee the same as above. You can either melt the white chocolate into the hot coffee mixture or use your favorite white chocolate sauce or syrup instead of the white chocolate. Pour the coffee mixture and white chocolate over the ice, fill the remaining space with milk, and stir to combine. Top as desired and enjoy!
