My little sister loves birthday cake, and anything birthday cake-flavored! From birthday cake candies to cake batter ice cream. And has been highly suggesting I add some birthday cake-flavored items to my blog. In other words, create more birthday cake-flavored recipes so she can eat them.

And I’ll be honest, while I love my younger siblings and all my siblings for that matter. My general hatred of cake led me to procrastinate on this recipe and several other cake-related recipes for quite a while.

But with the heat of summer upon us, and the sudden desire to make a birthday cheesecake. I decided it was high time I got to work on this recipe!

Which was a lot easier than I expected. I guess partly because I had already figured out how to make delicious and creamy milkshakes at home. And given my sister’s love of sprinkles, I already knew exactly what kind of cake this shake was going to be flavored with.

After tossing around a few ideas, I realized that the best way to make a cake batter milkshake is to add cake batter to it. Well, cake mix, which is, I guess, the secret ingredient to this yummy recipe!

This birthday cake milkshake tastes exactly like cake batter, it’s cool and creamy, and makes a delicious treat for any hot summer day!

It’s the perfect sweet treat to say happy birthday to anyone, and the best part is that it calls for a few ingredients and takes almost no time to make.
