Easy Salted Caramel Latte Recipe
This easy salted caramel latte recipe is sweet, rich, and tastes just as good—if not better—than anything you’d find at a coffee shop! Made with just five basic ingredients, this homemade latte comes together in almost no time, and the best part is you don’t even need an espresso machine to make it!

I don’t have much of a story behind this recipe, or really a reason at all for why I decided to make this latte. Mostly, it came about simply because I love coffee, lattes, and making coffee shop-style lattes at home. Basically, one day, a salted caramel latte sounded good, so I figured, why not try making one myself?
Using the base from some of my other favorite homemade lattes, a perfectly salted caramel sauce, and some strong coffee, I threw this latte together in under five minutes.
And guess what? It tastes exactly like the salted caramel lattes I’ve ordered from my local coffee shops, if not even better.

Needless to say, I had to share it here. After all, why shouldn’t you get to enjoy this yummy homemade latte too?
Seriously, though, this salted caramel latte is downright delicious, and I’m more than happy to add it to the growing list of fancy lattes I can now make at home.
This latte is rich, sweet, creamy, and perfectly salty. Plus, you can easily use any kind of milk you like, you don’t need an espresso machine, and it can be served hot or iced!

How To Make a Salted Caramel Latte
Ingredients
- Whole milk, or milk of choice
- Heavy cream. You can also use more milk or half-and-half, but the latte won’t be quite as creamy.
- Vanilla extract
- Salted caramel sauce, you can also use salted caramel syrup, if you prefer
- Instant coffee + hot water OR 2 shots of espresso OR 1/4 cup strong brewed coffee
- Whipped cream, optional
- Caramel and flaky sea salt for topping, optional

Directions
In a small saucepan, combine the milk, heavy cream, vanilla, and salted caramel. Heat over medium heat until the mixture is hot and small bubbles appear around the edges of the pan.
In a small dish, combine the instant coffee and hot water (skip this step if using brewed coffee or espresso) and stir until dissolved.
Pour the coffee mixture into the warm milk mixture and stir to combine.
Pour the finished latte into your favorite mug and top with whipped cream, a drizzle of caramel, and a pinch of flaky salt, if desired.
Enjoy!

Recipe Notes
This recipe can also easily be made as an iced salted caramel latte! To do this, mix your salted caramel with your hot coffee and stir until melted. Fill a tall glass or mason jar with ice and add a splash of heavy cream. Pour the coffee–caramel mixture over the ice, then fill the rest of the glass with milk. Stir, top, and enjoy!
For a more traditional coffee shop-style latte, froth the milk mixture with a handheld frother or an immersion blender before pouring it into your cup. This will give you that classic latte foam!
