This easy salted caramel latte recipe is sweet, rich, and tastes just as good—if not better—than anything you’d find at a coffee shop!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup whole milk or milk of choice
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream You can also use more milk or half-and-half, but the latte won’t be quite as creamy.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 tbsp Salted caramel sauce you can also use salted caramel syrup, if you prefer
  • 1 tbsp instant coffee + 3 tbsp hot water  OR 2 shots of espresso OR 1/4 cup strong brewed coffee
  • Whipped cream optional
  • Caramel and flaky sea salt for topping optional

Instructions
 

  • In a small saucepan, combine the milk, heavy cream, vanilla, and salted caramel. Heat over medium heat until the mixture is hot and small bubbles appear around the edges of the pan.
  • In a small dish, combine the instant coffee and hot water (skip this step if using brewed coffee or espresso) and stir until dissolved.
  • Pour the coffee mixture into the warm milk mixture and stir to combine.
  • Pour the finished latte into your favorite mug and top with whipped cream, a drizzle of caramel, and a pinch of flaky salt, if desired.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

This recipe can also easily be made as an iced salted caramel latte! To do this, mix your salted caramel with your hot coffee and stir until melted. Fill a tall glass or mason jar with ice and add a splash of heavy cream. Pour the coffee–caramel mixture over the ice, then fill the rest of the glass with milk. Stir, top, and enjoy!
For a more traditional coffee shop-style latte, froth the milk mixture with a handheld frother or an immersion blender before pouring it into your cup. This will give you that classic latte foam!
