Or any hot summer day when you need something cool and refreshing to take the edge off.
Okay, I didn’t mean to talk this mocktail recipe up as much as I have, but it is seriously a great and super yummy drink.

I mean, after all, it’s pretty hard to go wrong with any drink that calls for fresh strawberries—but this mocktail really does seem to check all the boxes. It’s easy and quick, uses fresh ingredients, and makes it nearly impossible to miss the alcohol.
It’s a drink that’s refined and elegant enough for dinner parties and fancy events, but simple and sweet enough to serve on hot summer days and at family get-togethers.
And it’s a drink that’s sure to be a hit with everyone, regardless of age, and is the perfect addition to any menu that needs a non-alcoholic option.

And though this mocktail is a million times more delicious when made with freshly picked, sweet strawberries during the height of strawberry season. I actually love making this drink for Valentine’s Day and Easter (it’s great for Mother’s Day too!).
Its gentle pink color and refreshing taste make it perfect for a Valentine’s Day dinner or Easter brunch. And since you can find fresh strawberries at pretty much any grocery store all year long, I see no reason not to enjoy this mocktail recipe year-round, too!

How To Make a Strawberry Lime Mocktail
Ingredients
- Fresh strawberries, washed and chopped
- Fresh lime juice
- Simple syrup
- Orange juice
- Ginger beer. I love using ginger beer for my mocktails; it usually has a better, crisper flavor than regular ginger soda. And don’t be fooled by the name—ginger beer is just another type of ginger soda and is completely alcohol-free!
- Ice cubes
- Lime slices and quartered strawberries, for garnish

Directions
In a sturdy glass or shallow bowl, muddle the strawberries until they are evenly mashed. (You can also pulse the strawberries in a blender if you like, to make the strawberry puree).
Then, combine the mashed strawberries, lime juice, simple syrup, and orange juice in a cocktail shaker. Add a few ice cubes and shake for about 30 seconds, or until everything is well combined.
Pour into a glass filled with ice, then top with ginger beer.
Garnish with a lime slice and a piece of fresh strawberry.
Serve immediately and enjoy!

Recipe Notes
If you don’t have simple syrup on hand or are looking for a healthier option, you can use honey, agave nectar, or even maple syrup in place of the simple syrup in this recipe.

As mentioned above, I love using ginger beer for nearly all of my mocktail recipes; however, you can definitely use any of your favorite ginger sodas. You could even use club soda or sparkling water to make this mocktail.
I usually garnish this mocktail with fresh limes and strawberries, but you could also garnish it with fresh mint leaves or a lime twist. Or roll the rim of the glass in simple syrup and lime zest before adding your finished drink.
For extra flavor, feel free to add additional strawberries or even ½ oz of strawberry syrup to this refreshing drink!
