Ingredients

  • 4 strawberries washed and chopped
  • 1 1/2 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1 tbsp Simple syrup
  • 2 ounces orange juice
  • Ginger beer I love using ginger beer for my mocktails; it usually has a better, crisper flavor than regular ginger soda. And don’t be fooled by the name—ginger beer is just another type of ginger soda and is completely alcohol-free!
  • ice cubes
  • Lime slices and quartered strawberries for garnish

Instructions

  • In a sturdy glass or shallow bowl, muddle the strawberries until they are evenly mashed(you can also pulse the strawberries in a blender if you like, to make the strawberry puree)
  • Then, combine the mashed strawberries, lime juice, simple syrup, and orange juice in a cocktail shaker. Add a few ice cubes and shake for about 30 seconds, or until everything is well combined.
  • Pour into a glass filled with ice, then top with ginger beer.
  • Garnish with a lime slice and a piece of fresh strawberry.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

If you don’t have simple syrup on hand or are looking for a healthier option, you can use honey, agave nectar, or even maple syrup in place of the simple syrup in this recipe.

As mentioned above, I love using ginger beer for nearly all of my mocktail recipes; however, you can definitely use any of your favorite ginger sodas. You could even use club soda or sparkling water to make this mocktail.
I usually garnish this mocktail with fresh limes and strawberries, but you could also garnish it with fresh mint leaves or a lime twist. Or roll the rim of the glass in simple syrup and lime zest before adding your finished drink.
For extra flavor, feel free to add additional strawberries or even ½ oz of strawberry syrup to this refreshing drink!
