I’m back with yet another cocktail recipe. I really wasn’t planning on sharing so many cocktail recipes this year, but life happens. And I’ve been enjoying learning how to make both new and classic cocktail recipes. And what’s more classic than a good mojito?

I’m sure many cocktails come to mind, but for the time being, we’re going to ignore them and focus our attention on this delicious classic mojito recipe!

Till about a month ago, I’d never tried a mojito, and to be honest, I wasn’t sure it was something I was going to enjoy. Needless to say, it didn’t take much to sell me on this classic rum cocktail.

With its fresh ingredients and refreshing taste, mojitos are the perfect cocktail for hot summer days, holidays, dinner parties, and more!

I know there are a million and one mojito recipes out there already, and I don’t really have a whole that sets this recipe apart. I prefer not to put much of a spin on classic cocktail recipes that have been enjoyed for ages.

Still, I wanted to share my simple recipe, plus my quick, easy, and just as refreshing mocktail version of this classic mojito!

Directions

Fill your glass of choice with ice and set it aside until ready to use.

Place 3 mint leaves in your cocktail shaker, and gently crush them with your muddler; you don’t want to rip or tear the leaves, just crush/bruise them to release their fragrance. Add the white rum, lime juice, and simple syrup to your cocktail shaker, followed by a few ice cubes. Cover and shake for about 10 seconds.

Pour your cocktail mixture into your glass of ice(if your cocktail shaker doesn’t have a pour spout, you can pour the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer.)

Top your cocktail with club soda, then garnish with a fresh sprig of mint and a lime slice.

Serve and Enjoy!

Recipe Notes

I like to use white rum for this recipe, but you can also use silver rum, and even coconut rum(to make a coconut mojito!) Really, you can use any of your favorite light rums to make this cocktail, you can even play around with different flavored rums.

I love to use my homemade simple syrup for this recipe, but if you don’t want to make your own, you can easily find simple syrup at most grocery stores. Or it can be ordered online.
