Spicy Dill Pickle Pizza
This spicy dill pickle pizza is super easy to make calls for just 6 ingredients and can be on the table in under 30 minutes! With the perfect blend of spice and cheesy goodness, this pizza is sure to be a hit with the whole family and is perfect for any at home pizza night!

This might just be the weirdest recipe I’ve ever created, not because of what it is, or the odd choice of pizza toppings, but rather because of how this recipe came about.
Usually, when I create a recipe it’s because I loved the takeout or storebought version so much, I just had to find a way to make it at home. That was not the case with this recipe, however.
This spicy pickle pizza actually came about for the exact opposite reason. My dad picked up a spicy pickle pizza at the store, and it was disgusting.

Honestly one of the worst pizzas I’ve ever eaten, it was so bad we didn’t even finish it. Which if you know family isn’t something that happens very often.
The thing was I couldn’t figure out why it was so bad, I mean gooey cheese, chicken, pickles, and hot sauce, should be a good combination right? I couldn’t figure out why the pizza tasted so awful, and I thought ‘You know what? I could make a better pizza than this.’ And that’s exactly what I did.
This spicy pickle pizza is loaded with flavor and just the right amount of heat! It’s perfect for the whole family and is sure to be enjoyed by everyone who tries it, especially pickle lovers! Plus it’s perfect for pizza night, movie night, game day, and more!

Spicy Dill Pickle Pizza

- pizza crust, I like to use my homemade sourdough pizza crust, as I like to make this recipe on a thin crust. For a thicker crust, I usually use my homemade pizza crust recipe. But you can feel free to use your favorite homemade or store-bought dough.
- shredded cheddar cheese
- shredded mozzarella cheese
- thin dill pickle slices
- diced seasoned chicken, I like to use baked or grilled chicken breast for this recipe, but any kind of chicken will work, even leftover chicken!

Additional Pizza Topping Ideas
- fresh dill
- Canadian bacon
- crumbled bacon
- dill weed
- hot honey

- chopped onions

How To Make Spicy Dill Pickle Pizza
Prepare your pizza crust(if you are using premade pizza dough you may need to let it warm up to room temperature before prepping) and preheat your oven according to the recipe instructions. The temperature and bake time below are based on my sourdough pizza crust recipe.
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F. Roll out your crust and place it on a parchment paper lined baking sheet(if you don’t have any parchment paper on hand, you can grease your baking sheet with olive oil)
In a small bowl toss together your shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese. Set aside until ready to use.
Using the back of a spoon or a rubber spatula spread the hot sauce over your pizza crust, leaving roughly 1/4 inch gap around the edges of the crust.
Sprinkle the diced chicken over the hot sauce doing your best to keep it evenly spread out over the whole pizza. Sprinkle your mixed cheese over the top of the chicken, keeping it as evenly spread out as possible. Layer the sliced pickles over the top of the cheese.
Place the pizza into your preheated oven and make for 10-15 minutes. Or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the crust is golden brown and crisp around the edges.
Remove the pizza from the oven and allow it to cool for 5 minutes before cutting and serving.
Enjoy!

Recipe Notes
Any leftover pizza can be wrapped tightly in plastic wrap or placed in an airtight container and stored in the fridge for up to 5 days. To reheat your pizza, place it on a baking sheet and heat at 350 degrees F for 8-10 minutes or until hot.
I love to serve this pizza with a drizzle of hot sauce over the top and a side of ranch dressing. But it’s also great with a side of sour cream or French onion dip!
I like to use dill pickle chips or hamburger pickles for this recipe, but you can also use spicy dill pickles or sweet pickles if you like those better!
You can also use any kind of cheese you like for this recipe. Pepper jack cheese, parmesan cheese, and Colby cheese are all great options!
