This classic peaches and cream oatmeal is the next installment of my instant oatmeal recipes. I’ve been on a quest for the past two years, not only to make my own homemade instant oatmeal recipe.

But to also recreate all my favorite flavors from the variety box of instant oatmeal packets my mum used to buy from the grocery store when I was little.

In case you missed it, I already shared my classic instant oatmeal recipe, my strawberries and cream instant oatmeal, and my blueberries and cream instant oatmeal. I still have quite a few flavors I want to recreate, but up next on the list is this quick and easy peach oatmeal recipe.

Personally, I’ve never been a big fan of peaches, I’ll usually enjoy a few fresh ones during peach season, but it’s never been a flavor of choice for me. As a matter of fact the peaches and cream instant oatmeal always seemed to be the last flavor left in the box.

Honestly, this flavor was pretty far down on my list of things to make. Till I woke up craving it one morning that is. Then since I was craving it and I wasn’t planning on buying another box of the store-bought, sugar-filled oatmeal packets. I decided I might as well make my own quick and easy version at home.

I’m happy to say that this delicious peaches and cream oatmeal came out amazing! It’s super easy to make and is great for busy mornings and breakfast on the go.

It’s sure to be a hit with kids and grownups alike! And the best part is, that, unlike the premade instant oatmeal, this recipe actually makes a hearty breakfast!

Directions

Prep the instant oatmeal according to the recipe instructions. Once the oats are finished and cooled, place 1/2 cup instant oatmeal mix into each jar or resealable bag. (1 batch of instant oatmeal will make 12-single serve jars/packets of instant oatmeal.)

Then add 1 tbsp of heavy cream powder to each jar/bag, followed by 2-3 tbsp of crushed freeze-dried peaches (the amount will really depend on the size of your freeze-dried peaches) Cover/seal tightly and store in a cool dry place until ready to use.

When you are ready to eat your oatmeal, pour 1 jar/bag into a small bowl, followed by 1-1 1/2 cups boiling water, stir, and allow the oatmeal to sit for 5 minutes or until thickened to your liking.

Serve Topped with ripe peaches and a splash of milk.

Enjoy!

Recipe Notes

Peaches and cream instant oatmeal can be stored in an airtight container or jar in a cool, dry spot for up to 1 month.

For quick and easy breakfasts on the go, prep your oatmeal in 16 oz jars instead of 8 oz jars, this way you can add your hot water right to the jar, and take it for the road!

You can find my homemade instant oatmeal recipe HERE! This is the basic oatmeal recipe I use for all my flavored instant oatmeal recipes! It can be made with almost any kind of oats. Quick oats, old-fashioned oats, and even whole grain oats.

You can also make this recipe extra creamy by using hot milk in place of the hot water. Personally, I like to use whole milk, but you can use any type of milk you like, even non-dairy milk. Almond milk, coconut milk, cashew milk, oat milk, unsweetened vanilla almond milk, and soy milk will all work well! Or you can make it with half water and half milk.

I don’t put too much sugar in my oatmeal recipes, so feel free to add extra sweetener to this recipe. It’s delicious served with fresh juicy peaches and a sprinkling of brown sugar!
