Easy Homemade Cajun Aioli Recipe

I’m a sauce kind of person, I always have and always will love dipping sometimes, and more often than not, I love them even more than what I’m currently dipping in it!

From french fries to chicken wings, fresh chopped veggies to sandwiches, there are very few things in my mind that can’t be improved with a good dipping sauce. 

And while I have always loved a good variety of dipping sauces, I have to admit, aioli is something that tends to slip my mind more often than not.

Which is a shame really, it’s hard to beat a good creamy aioli! And it’s even harder to beat this flavorful Cajun style aioli!

Now before we get too far into the recipe here, I have to admit this simple Cajun aioli sauce almost feels like a cheat recipe. Unlike traditional aioli, this recipe doesn’t call for any olive oil or egg yolk. Though I promise it’s just as delicious, creamy, and flavorful!

Not only is this Cajun aioli beyond easy to make, but it calls for simple ingredients, all of which you likely have on hand already. Not to mention it’s downright delicious! I had a hard time getting the pictures taken before I ate the only batch! 

This Cajun aioli is sure to be a hit with the whole family! It’s the perfect sauce for chicken, fries, fish, sandwiches, and more!  Though you might want to consider making a double batch, it’s that yummy.

How To Make Cajun Aioli

Ingredients 

  • real mayo, homemade is best, you can use store-bought mayo as well.
  • lemon juice
  • hot sauce, I like Frank’s 
  • smoked paprika
  • garlic powder
  • onion powder
  • sea salt
  • oregano
  • crushed red pepper flakes
  • cayenne pepper

Directions 

Combine all the ingredients in a medium bowl, and whisk until smooth.

Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.

Transfer the finished aioli to a glass jar or airtight container and place in the fridge until ready to use. Or serve immediately

Cajun aioli can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 7 days!

If you would like you can use Cajun seasoning, or cerol seasoning in place of the spices listed above.

If you want to make this aioli extra spicy, I would recommend doubling the hot sauce and red pepper flakes!

  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
